A clear signal for everyone

یک سیگنال شفاف، برای همه

Farsi Frequency is built so the broadcast reaches you however you tune in — by keyboard, screen reader, switch or touch, with motion calmed or contrast raised. This page explains how we keep the signal clear, where it still drops, and how to tell us.

Broadcast for all

Calm should reach everyoneآرامش برای همه

Farsi Frequency is a Persian-format station for everyone — pop, dance, classical, piano, jazz, country-inspired, adult contemporary and ambient sounds. A station made for everyone has no business being hard to use. We work to keep this site usable for everyone — including people who navigate by keyboard, rely on a screen reader, need motion reduced, or read more comfortably with higher contrast. Accessibility isn't a feature we finished; it's part of how the station is tuned, and we keep adjusting it.

How we tune for every listenerتنظیم برای هر شنونده

Keyboard at the controls

با صفحه‌کلید

Every link, button and the theme dial works from the keyboard alone, and a clear saffron focus ring follows you so you always know where you are.

Five frequencies to choose

تم‌ها

The dial in the corner shifts the whole site between Tehran Dusk, Persian Night, Desert Saffron, Midnight Lapis and a bright Daylight mode — pick the contrast that's easiest on your eyes.

Motion that settles

کاهش حرکت

Switch on “reduce motion” in your system and the tower stops spinning, the starfield calms and the signal rings fade — the page holds still.

Structure screen readers can read

ساختار معنایی

Proper landmarks, headings in order and labels on every control let assistive technology announce the page clearly instead of guessing.

Two languages, both directions

دو زبانه

Persian is set right-to-left in Vazirmatn so فارسی reads the way it should, sitting naturally beside the English throughout the site.

Text that scales

متن مقیاس‌پذیر

Zoom to 200% and the layout reflows instead of breaking, and everything stays readable down to a phone-sized screen.

Captions on the broadcasts

زیرنویس

Our YouTube mixes carry captions — switch them on with the CC button in the player whenever you want them.

Contrast we keep watch on

کنتراست

Text and key controls are chosen to stay legible against each background, and Daylight mode is there for when you need more separation.

Target · WCAG 2.2 Level AA · Status — partially conformant

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. “Partially conformant” means most of the site meets that bar, and a few areas don't yet — usually because of the third-party player or decorative effects noted below. We're working through the gaps and re-test as the broadcast grows.

Tell us where it drops

Found a spot where the signal cuts out?

جایی پیدا کردید که کار نمی‌کند؟ به ما بگویید

If any part of Farsi Frequency is hard to use — a control you can't reach, text you can't read, a page your screen reader stumbles on — tell us. It helps us aim the signal better for the next listener.

Technologies

Standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with an embedded YouTube player for the broadcasts. No layout depends on plugins.

Browsers

Built for current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on both desktop and mobile.

Assistive tech

Tested against common screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack.

If JavaScript is off

The page still reads in full. The live player and the theme dial are the parts that need JavaScript to run.
